Here we go…we start a new week with an interesting topic with Mr. Faizal Kamal. What comes to your mind when you first heard about this topic? As for me, I start imagining my brain with a billion of neuron connecting each other and control whatever action I have made. NLP is actually the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that and is predicated upon the belief that all behavior has structure.
NLP uses self image and attitude towards illness to effect change and to promote healing. Hope is our greatest asset. It is one of the main reasons why placebos (sugar pills used in clinical studies) work. We also know how effective prayer can be when it is combined with faith and hope. When a person loses hope and feels helpless in the face of a chronic disease such as AIDS or cancer, it is very easy to lose the hope; the body may just "quit trying." If the patient is made aware of his or her unique abilities and possibilities, he or she may see things differently. Now, the body's natural healing power can be harnessed to do the job.
As in our session, Mr. Faizal help us to determine what is actually we want when we first come to this course. Is the desire is still burning in us or has already disappear? Most of us want to improve ourselves in term of soft skill, confidence, creativity, behavior and even personality. During this session, he trying to tell us that no matter how hard we try to change, if we don’t start from inside, from our spirit, we won’t be able to change it forever.
So, the first thing he did is guiding us to clean whatever bad memories in our mind that always block us from any improvement. When everybody is clean, he tries to build up our strength from inside so that we feel free to accept knowledge and changes to be a better person.
