For yesterday, we have mock interview with Mr Abdullah and Mr Farouk. Before we start the session, both of the trainer gave us some important tips and input to be use later on. I feel relieved because most of the questions that have been juggling in my mind is now answered. Thank you Mr Abdullah and Mr Farouk! =)
Let me share some tips with you guys. After discussion among group members, we found that the most killer questions will be:
Why should we hire you? (for this question, you should answer by explaining your strength with example. Market yourself as much as you can) Same goes to the question ' What makes you so special?'
The difficult question will be the situation-handling question that require you to think before answer. It don't have fix answer because the interviewer just want to know how you deal with it. But this kind of question is a little bit tricky and you must answer depend on the situation and you have to consider the post you are applied for. For example, if you are a researcher which manage to produce new variety of pesticide after a long period of research. Then you noticed that the pesticide have only a weakness but other aspects is just perfect. Are you going to release your finding or KIV for further improvement? As a researcher, you should say NO, as a scientist should always put the ethic first but if you were applying a job that have to deal with business and marketing, you should say YES which give the interviewer an impression that you are able and brave enough to take risk in your business.
Besides, if you are competing with other candidates with an equal qualification, how would the interviewer choose the best candidate??? Well, whether you like it or not, they will evaluate you by personality and outlook besides skill in communication. That is why you need to know how to make yourself look good in front of people. Do you have that corporate image to impress them? So, here the grooming class will be worth for you to attend.
As for today, it's a very long day. We did the public speaking session where everyone have to talk. Mr Hisham is the one evaluating us. Nazrin shows a very significant improvement and i'm proud of him. As for me, he said that my voice is ok but i read too much.....i guess because i really rely on the notes as i know we can bring note. As a result, i tend to not seriously memorize the point and then, that is what i did...so-so public speaking. Never mind =) i take this as a challenge to improve myself. Wait for my next presentation!

Want to Look Beautiful??? Dress Beautiful!!!
Everybody wants to look beautiful, attractive and gorgeous. But how would you deal if your style is actually not so good and whatever it is you need to change. Are you willing to change after all this time???? If you want to change but don’t know how, are you willing to learn???
Well, this is all about confidence and positive in receiving others comment for improvement. The decision on what to wear, how to wear, what colour to choose is actually depends on us. There is no exact rule about that except in the office, of course you have to dress formally.
As for me, I noticed that I am two-third cool and one-third warm in term of skin colour which mean I can wear a cool colour most of the time but it is not wrong to wear warm colour sometime. I can say my skin colour tone is flexible (^_^)
For the scarf, I totally cannot wear the new fashion of awning scarf because my face shape not suit that. I am going to stick with my style now but maybe adding some accessory to make it nicer. Then for shoes, I need to get familiar with high heel because I am not so model height. Huhu
Well, Leilanie also show us some videos for makeup style which what I am waiting for from the beginning. I love makeup but I want it to be easier so that I don’t have to wake up very early in the morning just to put on makeup on my face. So in this class I did learned something.
At the end, I can conclude that all this stuff in order to improve our appearance actually needs efforts. We need to find the best in ourselves in term of strength, skill and not to forget personality.
Communication for Leader
How to be a leader and how to communicate as a leader? That is the first question come in my mind after look at the title. For the whole day, I am imagining myself as a director of a project. I have about 15 people working under me and I have to observe all their works and make sure everything is happen according to the plan. Basically, that is what the trainer wants us to know.
After explaining some of the skills in communication for a leader, the trainer leave us to discuss among ourselves and pick one leader with a very skillful communication and share with others. As for my group, we choose Mahatma Gandhi as our role model.
At the middle of the lesson, we were given a case study about a project that ended up with huge finance problem. We manage to find out the reasons that cause all the chaos and ineffective communication between them is one of the main causes. We also manage to find out the barrier in their communication.
As what I have learned from the module, I can conclude that as a leader we should communicate in a very effective way so that we can win our employees heart and inspire them to give the best in their work. Besides, we also have to how to overcome the barriers such as poor listening, speech, emotional attachment and others.

Biofashion in the house! (^_^)
The lesson continues today (wednesday) and I can feel that everyone is excited. I don’t know why but I can simply feel it. Maybe I am the one who excited for the day because I get enough sleep last night =)
The lesson is getting serious as we need to choose an interesting topic to present in front of others. We choose ‘BIOFASHION’ and we include a short biofashion runway before we start.
The aim is just to give awareness to people to take care of the environment. By using material from nature instead of using other material consisting harmful chemical and toxic we can actually protect our environment before it is too late.
Presentation Skill Empowering Process!!!
For Tuesday, we continue our lesson with Mr. Abdullah Yunos and his friend, Madam Rusilawati regarding skill in presentation. We were practice talking to the passive audience and active audience. Well, what do you feel if you were talking to someone and he or she did not give any response at all? You feel like want to kill them right? And you were like….oh god, I do not know what else to say. Hmmmm boring………....(-_-)
But, what if your audience is giving you their attention, answer you when you are asking, laugh when you make joke??? This is what we want! In order to get this feeling which I can say the real satisfaction to talk in front, we need to empower ourselves with powerful skill in presentation.

As the result of what I have learned from today’s lesson is the skill in presentation includes preparation of the topic, eye contact, know the audience and practice.

Proposal Planner (Monday-13 dec)
Only today I realized that my resume is just a very ordinary resume which I can say no excitement at all. I should cut some unnecessary data and add on something bright. Keep it sweet and simple not really easy to apply then. So I got comments from others that help me a lot to improve my resume writing and especially cover letter for job employment.
As has been told last week, we need to plan our proposal for finale presentation today and explain it briefly to the trainer. So we need to discuss among our group members and the result is……. ‘ORYZA’!!!!!
Well that is our product’s name, which refers to rice. This new variety of rice will be the first choice for everyone as it has low glycemic index and high in fibre content which is very good for diabetes suffered person. The idea is actually came from the evolution of golden rice that have been invented before which inspire us that we could possibly add on special characteristic to the rice for good. Of course, the method will involve molecular work by transforming the responsible gene to produce ORYZA.
As for now, we believe that the idea is relevance to the current situation in Malaysia which we can see now, percentage of people suffered from diabetes is keep on increasing. So, as this variety of rice can be produce, we can help the patient to take care of themselves without avoiding rice. Besides, we also can help others to practice a healthy diet.

Resume Writing Skill
Why should we hire you??? That is the most killer question in an interview whereby we need to promote ourselves like no other candidate can beat us at all. At the same time, yelling loud in our heart said ‘you must hire me sir, I am the best!!!’
Well, before we got the opportunity to be asked like that, the first impression to attract the panel is…..RESUME! How attractive your resume??? How creative you are playing with words in presenting yourself???
I am sure each one of us already knew how to write a resume. So today lesson for me is just about to refresh our knowledge and skill in writing a resume and cover letter for job application.
