Stellagen in the house!!!

For the last Wednesday, which is 5th of January, i was going to Batu Caves for a field trip at Stellagen Sdn Bhd. Actually, the trainees was divided into two group and the other was going to Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (Inno Biologic Sdn Bhd). So 37 of us arrived at Stellagen around 10.15 a.m. and the trip was ended about 12.30 p.m.   The first thing come up to my mind after the trip is....it is not easy to set up a business especially a research based business. As for Stellagen, the company was set up after 12 years of research regarding their product. But still, until now, 5 staffs in the company have traveled around the world to improve the quality of the product. After set up the company, what comes next is the marketing strategy. Marketing strategy definitely consume a lot of money in order to be recognize in the existing market. For Stellagen, basically, they have come out with a novel rpoduct of multi-probiotic for chicken as the best substitution for antibiotic that have been injected to the chicken since years back. As they aware about the consequence of the accumulation of antiobiotic in human body after consuming chicken, the research team determined to work on the product. As the result, they did it! So the second thing i learned for the day is that, decide what you want and go for it no matter what it takes....at the end you will realized that it worth your life. as Adnan Sempit said on the movie ' where is the desire, there will be the highway'

Describe Yourself on a Piece of Paper =)

As has been told yesterday, today we going to play with colors. Early morning, we have a short lecture by Prof. Barjoyai. Then we start doodling and this is what i did. Heeeee.....

Thank you to Hisham for capturing my painting so that i can put it here. So they said i have something bothering me, maybe my past experiences because of the black color. But seriously its nothing! Well, of course i have a lot of memories, good memories and bad memories and i did realize my mistake last time. So i guess the paint turned this way because sometime i keep on thinking about the past and realize what should and what should not been done at that time. The big love shows that i love to be loved and i always love people around me and that love that i build is actually make me stronger. 'mummy and daddy' is because i really miss them right now. About the fact that i am a happy person, yes! i agree...=)

Being innovative all the way \(^_^)/

Today is my second day for creative and innovative module since I was caught in flu last Thursday. Owh…by the way congratulation Malaysia’s football team and happy new year to everyone =D.
So today, Prof. Barjoyai came with several interesting and exciting devices and I am very curious at the beginning. I seem to know what was inside the plastic, but I am not sure and confuse. Are we going to have a cooking class today????? Guess what?! It really happened!!!! He brought an amazing bread maker and a microwave rice cooker.
For the introduction, we did some discussion on our product about the added values by which we determined what value can be added to our product from just a random word. To be clear, as for my group, last week we have come out with a product called Platocino which is basically a portable water heater. The random word chosen is cobweb. So what we do is that, we list down all the valuable features of our product and cobweb itself and then do the cross linking of the features between them. As a result, we have come out with a new design of portable water heater called Cobwebster. Believe it or not, this method of exploring your innovative idea is really work!
Bread maker

Panasonic bread maker
After that, we continue our so called ‘practical’ by making bread and cooking bryani for lunch. Both of the devices were really superb! In the evening, we continue a little bit on comparison of our product with respective competitors with reference to several factors. Every group have come out with their strategy canvas and detailed comparison with other competitive product that already in the market.

Neuro Linguistic Programing~

Here we go…we start a new week with an interesting topic with Mr. Faizal Kamal. What comes to your mind when you first heard about this topic? As for me, I start imagining my brain with a billion of neuron connecting each other and control whatever action I have made. NLP is actually the study of the structure of subjective experience and what can be calculated from that and is predicated upon the belief that all behavior has structure.

NLP uses self image and attitude towards illness to effect change and to promote healing. Hope is our greatest asset. It is one of the main reasons why placebos (sugar pills used in clinical studies) work. We also know how effective prayer can be when it is combined with faith and hope. When a person loses hope and feels helpless in the face of a chronic disease such as AIDS or cancer, it is very easy to lose the hope; the body may just "quit trying." If the patient is made aware of his or her unique abilities and possibilities, he or she may see things differently. Now, the body's natural healing power can be harnessed to do the job.

As in our session, Mr. Faizal help us to determine what is actually we want when we first come to this course. Is the desire is still burning in us or has already disappear? Most of us want to improve ourselves in term of soft skill, confidence, creativity, behavior and even personality. During this session, he trying to tell us that no matter how hard we try to change, if we don’t start from inside, from our spirit, we won’t be able to change it forever.

So, the first thing he did is guiding us to clean whatever bad memories in our mind that always block us from any improvement. When everybody is clean, he tries to build up our strength from inside so that we feel free to accept knowledge and changes to be a better person.

Go Negotiate!!!!

For the last Thursday and Friday, we have another session with Mr. Hisham which is ‘Negotiation Skills’ session. By definition, business negotiation is the process by which typically two or more parties come together to try to create a mutually agreeable contractual decision. Each party will have competing interests and, thus, negotiations can be quite intricate and lengthy. Negotiations end when all parties have come to a final decision and have agreed to contractual guidelines. However, negotiation not only required when it comes to business but also in daily life. For example, when we want to buy fish at the market and ask for permission to go out from our parent, we also negotiate.

However, do you feel that someone is continually taking advantage of you? Do you seem to have to fight your corner aggressively, or ally with others, to win the resources you need? Or do you struggle to get what you want from people whose help you need, but over whom you have little direct authority? If so, you may need to brush up your win-win negotiation skills. Obviously, we don’t negotiate to lose.

Therefore, in order to master the technique of negotiation to obtain the win-win situation, some preparation should be done. So we might have do some research before out for a negotiation.

Goals: what do you want to get out of the negotiation? What do you think the other person wants?
Trades: What do you and the other person have that you can trade? What do you each have that the other wants? What are you each comfortable giving away?
Alternatives: if you don't reach agreement with the other person, what alternatives do you have? Are these good or bad? How much does it matter if you do not reach agreement? Does failure to reach an agreement cut you out of future opportunities? And what alternatives might the other person have?
Relationships: what is the history of the relationship? Could or should this history impact the negotiation? Will there be any hidden issues that may influence the negotiation? How will you handle these?
Expected outcomes: what outcome will people be expecting from this negotiation? What has the outcome been in the past, and what precedents have been set?
The consequences: what are the consequences for you of winning or losing this negotiation? What are the consequences for the other person?
Power: who has what power in the relationship? Who controls resources? Who stands to lose the most if agreement isn't reached? What power does the other person have to deliver what you hope for?
Possible solutions: based on all of the considerations, what possible compromises might there be?

Effective negotiation helps you to resolve situations where what you want conflicts with what someone else wants. The aim of win-win negotiation is to find a solution that is acceptable to both parties, and leaves both parties feeling that they've won, in some way, after the event.

Quick Plan To Be Done

F to the U, to the T U R A! Futura, Futura, Futura to the future! Futura..............BEST!!!

Come on guys, you can do it. Huhu...i hate to create cheer again...sound childish! But it did give some spirit sometimes. Hmmm....today i'm very excited...well i love Wednesday since school because for me it's like a starting point for countdown to the weekend.

Anyway, that is not the thing i want to tell you guys. The main point here is that, WE CHANGE OUR PROPOSAL!!!!! while everyone else was starting their proposal writing, we still at the back, discussing what should we do??? the last idea was quite complicated and we were kind of run out of time. From ORYZA we move to mushroom extract.....then to compost kit....to the fertilizer.....change to chili soap....get back to compost kit with fertilizer outcome....then only we decided to stick to the first idea but a with little bit of manipulation. We want to produce a sachet which contain the starter of compost mechanism which is microbe.

They might be variety of microbe which responsible to do the job, but the different is that our product have the ability to quicken up the compost mechanism. Well why need to compost??? the answer is simple....we want to save the world...reducing the rubbish dumping area and can even encourage people to do gardening with their own homemade fertilizer. There might be some challenges to make it happen but i realize that everything needs effort...don't you think so? As long as we care...we will support it...

So guys....save the world! Futura.....BEST! =)
